Tips for your Pre-shoot

for an Amazing Pre-Shoot

What to wear

Wear some colour! Gone are the days when we need to wear matching white shirts and jeans! Rich colours look fantastic – plum, purple, deep red, rich green...etc. You and your love should co-ordinate your colours without being too “matchy-matchy”.

Ladies, wear more makeup than you usually do. Even though you may feel like it looks too fake or heavy in person, it will look better on camera. It is even a good idea to schedule your wedding makeup trial for your wedding day on the day of your engagement session.

Wear clothes that fit you well. Nothing too baggy or too tight as these things are accentuated on camera and usually end up not being very flattering.

Bring multiple options for outfits to the shoot. It is always good to have choices. We might find a different outfit that might work better once we arrive adifferdifferentMucthat that h better to have an outfit available than regret leaving it at home.

Accessorise! Belts, hats, scarves, necklaces, and of course, very cool shoes. Don’t underestimate the power of some cool shoes at a photoshoot!

Show some personality with your accessories. Look at some pictures in style magazines if you have trouble putting together a look. See what you like and go shopping, have fun!

Men, be aware of your socks! There is little worse than having a great shot of you two with a pair of white tube socks taking all the attention!

Don’t wear your smartwatch to the shoot. Watches are not typically something that adds to a photo, they can be quite distracting. Remember to empty your pockets too. No mobiles, keys or wallets.

Some wonderful affectionate gestures that look great on camera. Guys: kiss her cheek, her nose, her forehead... Girls: smile or close your eyes when he kisses you. Whisper something sweet or sexy into each other’s ears.

Relax... The most important thing to remember is to try to relax. Focus on each other and not the photographer. The photographer will direct you to be where he needs you and help you know what to do. They will give you more direction if needed, but keep snuggling or kissing if the photographer is not directing you.

Its about the Love

Remember that you are in love! You are doing this; it is more about love and fun than looking perfect. Just be yourself and let your photographer take care of everything else
